Bearing Inspection

- Inspect the bearings for the following defects. Possible causes are shown:
- Cratering - fatigue failure (1)
- Spot polishing - improper seating (2)
- Scratching - dirty (3)
- Base exposed - poor lubrication (4)
- Both edges worn - journal damaged (5)
- One edge worn - journal tapered or bearing not seated (6)
