Oil Pan: Removal

NOTE:
To remove oil pan on 4WD models, engine must be removed. See ENGINE .
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Reference mark hood location and remove hood. Remove dipstick. Remove cooling fan assembly.
- Remove motor mount nuts. Install Engine Lifting Hooks (303-D030). Using a floor jack, raise engine about 2 inches. Install Engine Support Kit (014-00750) to engine. Raise vehicle on hoist. Remove retainer clip and electrical connector at oil low level sensor. Drain engine oil.
- Remove starter. Remove oil pan bolts. Carefully remove oil pan. DO NOT damage oil pump pick-up tube. Remove oil pan gasket.
