The air bag warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	RETRIEVE the recorded diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from both the continuous and on-demand instrument cluster self-tests. If DTC B1868 is retrieved, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If no DTCs are retrieved, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER , to diagnose the inoperative air bag warning indicator.
The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and headlamps off)	Key-in-ignition warning switch Circuitry Instrument cluster	VERIFY the parking lamps operate correctly. Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. If the concern is still present, install a new instrument cluster. see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Test the system for normal operation.
