| 2 | RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND SJB SELF-TESTS

Yes | If DTC U0140 is retrieved, clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test. If DTC U0140 is retrieved again, go to step 4. For all other instrument cluster DTCs, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX - B, C AND U CODES , . |

| 3 | CARRY OUT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATOR LAMP CONTROL ACTIVE COMMAND USING THE SCAN TOOL

| 4 | CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION

Yes | Install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) , . Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. | ||
| 5 | CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION

Yes | Install a new instrument cluster. see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. | ||
