PINPOINT TEST 2		HEADLAMP ON WARNING CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR Key in ON position. With the driver door opened, observe the door ajar warning indicator. Does the door ajar warning indicator operate correctly?	Yes	Go to next step.
1		No	REFER to SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER , to continue diagnosis of the door ajar indicator.
2	VERIFY THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ILLUMINATION OPERATES CORRECTLY Place the headlamp switch in the HEADLAMPS or PARKING LAMPS ON position. Does the instrument cluster panel illumination operate correctly?	Yes	Go to next step.
2		No	See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION , to continue diagnosis of the instrument cluster illumination.
3	CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors. Check for: corrosion damaged pins pushed-out pins Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	Install a new instrument cluster. see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Test the system for normal operation.
3		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
