CAUTION:
  • Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 1 NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER VOLTAGE SUPPLY
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Instrument Cluster 0922-101.
  • Key ON.
  • Using Chart 1 at the end of test, measure the voltage between the instrument cluster, harness side and ground.
  • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes Go to step 2.
No Verify the SJB fuses 9 (5A), 10 (10A), and 33 (5A) are OK. If OK, repair the circuit(s) in question. Test the system for normal operation.
2 CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GROUND CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Instrument Cluster 0922-102.
  • Key ON.
  • Using Chart 2 at the end of test, measure the resistance between the instrument cluster, harness side and ground.
  • Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes See COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , .
No Repair the circuits) in question. Test the system for normal operation.
