Component Tests and General Diagnostics

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM INSPECTION

1. Verify that the concern is with the evaporative emission (EVAP)canister or canister vent solenoid by following the diagnostic routines in DTC P0455.
2. Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical concerns apply:
- Loose or disconnected components.
- Damaged EVAP canister or canister vent solenoid.

3. If the concern remains after the inspection, determine the symptom and go to See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYMPTOM CHART. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
