Removal and Installation

COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the driver-side air bag module.
3. Remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove the column cover.

CAUTION: The clock spring is generally not to be removed from the combination switch as may result in a malfunction of the steering angle sensor. However, remove it only when replacing the clock spring as a single unit by referring to CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.




5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
