DTC B2143 TABLE

DTC B2143	ID registration failure
DETECTION CONDITION	Two or more codes are overlapping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	ID registration procedure has not been performed properly.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY THE PROGRAMMED ID Turn the ignition switch off. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2. Select the following PIDs using the WDS or equivalent: ID_WU1 ID_WU2 ID_WU3 ID_WU4 Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Is the same code in the output ID?	Yes	Register the wheel unit ID, then go to the next step. (See WHEEL UNIT ID REGISTRATION .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC from the memory. (See CLEARING DTCS PROCEDURE .) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 25 km/h {15.5 mph} or more for 10 min or more. Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the instrument cluster and/or wheel unit. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) 2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Are there any other DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
