Transfer Case Damper Removal / Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Remove the four bolts and the damper.

    NOTE:
    • If new bolts are not available, coat the threads of the used bolts with a loctite-type sealant.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
