Exhaust Manifold Left Hand Removal / Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  3. Remove the bolts.

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Disconnect the hoses from the differential pressure feedback EGR transducer.

  6. Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.

  7. Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from the EGR valve and remove the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.

  8. Remove the exhaust manifold nuts.
  9. Remove the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold gasket.
  10. Position the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold gasket.
  11. Tighten the nuts in order shown.

  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
