Propeller Shaft Rear (4X2) Removal / Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
Index the propeller shaft to rear companion flange.

NOTE:
- Mark the slip yoke to index the transmission output shaft.
Remove the propeller shaft.
1. Remove the four bolts and disconnect the propeller shaft.
2. Lower the propeller shaft and slide the propeller shaft rearward out of the transmission.
3. Plug the extension housing to prevent fluid loss.

NOTE:
- Install new bolts.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
