Propeller Shaft Rear (4WD) Removal / Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Index-mark the propeller shaft yoke to transfer case companion flange.

  3. Index-mark the propeller shaft to rear companion flange.

  4. Remove the four rear bolts and disconnect the rear propeller shaft.

  5. Separate the propeller shaft from the transfer case.
    1. Remove the four bolts.
    2. Carefully remove the propeller shaft.
    NOTE:
    • Install new bolts.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
