Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the radiator grille opening panel. See RADIATOR GRILLE OPENING PANEL  .

    NOTE:

  2. Remove the side marker lamps.
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    3. Remove the side marker lamp.

      NOTE:
      • LH side shown, RH side similar.
  3. Remove the front fender-to-grille opening panel reinforcement bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 ft-lbf).

  4. Remove the air deflector.
    1. Remove the 2 push-pins
    2. Remove the air deflector.

  5. Remove the auxiliary power steering cooler-to-radiator grille opening panel reinforcement bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 ft-lbf).

  6. Remove the horn.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    3. Remove the horn.

      NOTE:

  7. Position the air deflectors aside.
    1. Remove the 2 push-pins.
    2. Position the air deflectors aside.

      NOTE:

  8. Remove the 2 radiator-to-radiator grille opening panel reinforcement bolts.

  9. From beneath the vehicle, remove the air deflector.
    • Remove the 4 push-pins.

    NOTE:

  10. Remove the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement-to-front fender bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 ft-lbf).

  11. Remove the grille opening panel reinforcement.
    • Pull straight outward.
  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
