Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the customer concern.
  2. Visually inspect the following for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    Visual Inspection Chart 

    VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Multifunction switch
    • Smart junction box (SJB) fuse(s):
      • 17 (15A) (hazard lamps)
      • 20 (10A)(turn lamps)
    • Indicator flasher relay
    • Circuitry
    • SJB
  3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  4. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and see SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMPS  .
