| PINPOINT TEST 2 | THE PARKING, REAR AND LICENSE PLATE LAMPS ARE ALWAYS ON | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| STEP | INSPECTION | ACTION | |
| 1 | CHECK THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) FROM THE SJB SELF-TEST
|
Yes | Go to step 4. |
| No | Go to next step. | ||
| 2 | CHECK THE HEADLAMP SWITCH
|
Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | Install a new headlamp switch. See MAIN LIGHT SWITCH . Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test. | ||
| 3 | CHECK CIRCUIT (W/B) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Disconnect: SJB J-2280d. Measure the resistance between the headlamp switch 0918-103 pin 3, circuit (W/B), harness side and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? |
Yes | Go to step 9. |
| No | Repair circuit (W/B) for a short to ground. Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test. | ||
| 4 | CHECK CIRCUIT (BR) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
|
Yes | Repair circuit (BR) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Go to next step. | ||
| 5 | CHECK CIRCUIT (B/P) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
|
Yes | Repair circuit (B/P) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Go to next step. | ||
