| 5 | CHECK CIRCUIT (DG) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Go to step 10. |
| No | Repair circuit (DG) for a short to ground. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 6 | CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR

Yes | See COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK for diagnosis of the communication network. |
| No | Go to next step. | ||
| 7 | CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE ABS MODULE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS
|
Yes | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. |
| No | Go to next step. | ||
| 8 | CHECK THE ABS MODULE CIRCUIT (DG) FOR AN OPEN
|
Yes | Go to step 11. |
| No | Remove the jumper wire. Go to next step. | ||
| 9 | CHECK CIRCUIT (DG) FOR AN OPEN
|
Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | Repair circuit (DG) for an open. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 10 | CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
|
Yes | Install a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. |

| 11 | CHECK FOR CORRECT ABS MODULE OPERATION
