STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IGNITION SWITCH PID Key ON. Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: - Instrument Cluster PID Monitor the instrument cluster ignition switch PID while placing the ignition switch in OFF, ACC, and ON position. Do the PID values agree with the ignition switch position?	Yes	Go to next step.
1		No	See PINPOINT TEST 1: KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY .
2	VERIFY THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATE CORRECTLY Open the driver door. Do the interior lamps illuminate correctly?	Yes	Go to next step.
2		No	See INTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the interior lamps.
3	VERIFY THE EXTERIOR LAMPS OPERATE CORRECTLY Place the headlamp switch in the headlamps or parking lamps on position. Do the parking lamps operate correctly?	Yes	Go to next step.
3		No	See EXTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the exterior lamps.
4	CHECK CIRCUIT (B/P) FOR VOLTAGE Key OFF. Disconnect: Instrument cluster 0922-101. Measure the voltage between the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 4, circuit (B/P), harness side and ground, with the headlamp switch in the ON and OFF position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts with the headlamp switch ON and 0 volts with the headlamp switch OFF?	Yes	Go to next step.
4		No	Repair circuit (B/P) for an open. Test the system for normal operation.
5	CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors. Check for: - corrosion - pushed-out pins Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	Install a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Test the system for normal operation.
5		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
