Transfer Oil Cooler Removal/Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the transfer side (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Drain the engine coolant (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L3 WITH TC] ).
  3. Drain the transfer oil into a suitable container (See TRANSFER OIL REPLACEMENT ).
  4. Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Perform the following procedure, if the transfer has been overhauled and installed to the vehicle.
    1. After warming up the engine, drive the vehicle and inspect for oil leakage and abnormal noise.
