Idle Speed Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
  • Idle rotation cannot be adjusted.
  1. Warm up the engine.
    1. Turn off all electrical loads.
    2. Increase the engine speed to 2,500-3,000 RPM  until the cooling fan starts running.
    3. When the cooling fan starts running, release the accelerator pedal and wait until the cooling fan stops running.
  2. Connect the SST  (WDS or equivalent) to the DLC-2.
  3. Verify that the engine speed (WDS: RPM) is as follows using the PID/data monitor function of the SST (WDS or equivalent)  as follows:

    Idle speed No load 650-750 

    Idle-up speed (RPM) 

    Electrical load on  *1  650-750 

    P/S operation 650-750 

    A/C operation (medium-pressure switch off) 700-800 

    A/C operation (medium-pressure switch on) 725-825 

    *1 : When the following electrical loads are on: Headlights, rear defroster, cooling fan No. 1, cooling fan No. 2, and the blower motor (2-step or more).
