Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT.




2. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the two screws and the TP sensor.

CAUTION: Be sure to hand start the TP sensor screws. These are self-threading screws. Failure to hand start them can cause damage to the throttle body.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
