Flywheel Removal/Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the clutch disc and clutch cover; See CLUTCH DISC AND COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Install the flywheel holding tool and remove the bolts.
  3. Remove the flywheel.
    NOTE:
    • Inspect the flywheel for cracks, hot spots and scoring. If damage is found to the flywheel friction surface, machine flywheel friction surface. If damage is found to the ring gear teeth, replace the ring gear.
    NOTE:
    • Apply threadlock and sealer to the flywheel bolt threads before installation.
  4. Position the flywheel onto the crankshaft and install the bolts.
  5. Tighten the bolts in sequence to specification.

  6. Install the disc and cover; See CLUTCH DISC AND COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
