Throttle Body Removal/Installation - 3.0L

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Disconnect the breather tube and the air inlet tube.

  3. Remove the bolt and the splash shield.

  4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  5. Disconnect the accelerator cable, cruise control actuator cable and return spring.

  6. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.

  7. If required, remove the throttle body gasket.
  8. If required, remove the TP sensor. See THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L .
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
