Throttle Body Removal/Installation - 2.3L

  1. Remove the accelerator control splash shield.

  2. Disconnect the wiring harness and engine vent tube from the air cleaner outlet tube.

  3. Loosen the clamps, the bolt and remove the engine air cleaner intake tube and duct.

  4. Remove the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable (if equipped).

  5. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Tighten the throttle body bolts in the sequence shown to 10 N.m {1 kgf.m, 7 ft.lbf}.
