Water Temperature Sender Unit Removal/Installation - 2.3L

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Drain the cooling system. See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT - 2.3L  .

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
    NOTE:
    • Coat the threads with pipe thread sealant.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
