Filling and Bleeding Procedure For Use With Complete Drain

  1. Install the radiator lower hose and close the radiator draincock.
  2. Fill the system through the degas bottle cap to the maximum fill level.
    WARNING:
    • Do not stand in line with or near the engine cooling fan blade when revving the engine.
  3. Start the engine and run for approximately ten seconds at 2,500 RPM to prime the heater circuit then turn the engine off.
  4. Top off the coolant level to 15 mm above the maximum fill level.
  5. Install the degas bottle cap.
  6. Start the engine and hold the engine speed at 2,500 RPM for approximately eight minutes until the thermostat opens.
  7. Maintain the engine speed at 2,500 RPM for an additional three minutes.
  8. Increase engine speed to 4,000 RPM and hold for five seconds.
  9. Return the engine speed to 2,500 RPM and hold for an additional three minutes.
  10. Repeat the previous two steps.
  11. Stop the engine and check for leaks.
  12. Verify the correct fluid level after the engine cools for 20 minutes. Top off the degas bottle to the maximum fill level.
