Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection - 2.3L

- Remove the oil pressure switch.
- Screw Oil Pressure Gauge ST 490187 280or equivalent into the oil pressure switch installation hole.
- Run the engine at 2000 RPM and note the engine readings.
- If pressure is not within specification (40-60 psi, 276-413 kpa, 2.8-4.2 kgf/cm 2 ), see ENGINE IGNITION SPECIFICATIONS - 2.3L , for further diagnosis.
- Apply sealant to oil pressure switch threads.
- Remove Oil Pressure Gauge ST
49 0187 280 or equivalent and install switch.
Tightening torque
11-24 N.m {1.1-2.4 kgf.m, 8-18 ft.lbf}
