Oil Level Indicator And Tube Removal/Installation - 2.3L

  1. Remove the oil level indicator and the upper retaining bolt.
  2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. See LIFTING .

  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube.
    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the oil level indicator tube.

  4. Remove the O-ring from the indicator ring.
    NOTE:
    • Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installation of the indicator tube.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
