Timing Chain Removal/Installation - 3.0L: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front cover. See ENGINE FRONT COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L .
  3. Rotate the crankshaft and align the timing marks.

  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Remove the timing chain, camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket as an assembly.

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
