Fly-Wheel/FLEXPLATE Removal/Installation - 2.3L: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission. See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION or MANUAL TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the clutch, if so equipped. See CLUTCH DISC AND COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the special tool and remove the bolts and the flywheel or flexplate.
