Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Partially drain the cooling system in to appropriate container.
- Disconnect Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor harness connector. See Fig 1 .
- Remove CHT sensor.
- Place CHT sensor in water with a thermometer, and heat water gradually.
- Using ohmmeter, measure the resistance of CHT sensor between sensor terminals at specified temperatures. See Fig 2 . If resistance is not as specified, replace CHT sensor.
