Brake Pedal (Manual Transmission) Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • When removing the stoplight switch, retain the bushing and hairpin clip. They will be required for installation.
  1. Disconnect the brake master cylinder push rod.
    1. Remove the hairpin clip (1).
    2. Separate the stoplight switch (2) and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.
    3. Remove the brake booster push rod bushing (3).
  2. Disconnect the clutch pedal position (CPP) switch electrical connector.

  3. Disconnect the clutch pedal master cylinder rod.
  4. Remove the bolts (4).
  5. Remove the nuts (5).
  6. Remove the brake and clutch pedal assembly (6).

  7. Install in reverse order of removal.

    Tightening torque 

    Bolts and Nuts: 21-29 N.m {2.1-3 kgf.m, 15-21 ft.lbf}
