No Communication With The SJB

PINPOINT TEST 5 - NO COMMUNICATION WITH SJB

PINPOINT TEST 5 NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE SJB
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK POWER TO THE SJB
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect SJB connector J-2280a.
  • Key ON, engine OFF (KOEO).
  • Measure the voltages between SJB connector J-2280a pins 1, circuit DG, 29, circuit DL, 32, circuit R and ground.
  • Are all voltages 10 volts or more? 
Yes Go to step 2.
No Repair the circuit or circuits in question. Test the system for normal operation.
2 CHECK SJB GROUND CIRCUITS
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect SJB connector J-2280c.
  • Measure the resistance between the SJB connector J-2280c pins 1, circuit B/W and 8, circuit B and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms on both circuits? 
Yes Replace the SJB.
See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation.
No Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
