  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Main Light Switch 0918-103.
  • Measure the voltage between the main light switch 0918-103 pin 6, circuit R/Y, harness side and ground.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Go to step 4.
No Go to step 3.
3 CHECK THE VOLTAGE FROM THE SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB)
  • Disconnect: SJB J-2280b.
  • Measure the voltage between the SJB J-2280b pin 4, circuit R/Y, component side and ground.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
No Go to step 7.
4 CHECK CIRCUIT V/LB FOR AN OPEN
  • Disconnect: Multifunction Switch 0918-105.
  • Measure the resistance between the main light switch 0918-103 pin 2, circuit V/LB, harness side and the multifunction switch 0918-105 pin 8, circuit V/LB, harness side.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes RECONNECT the headlamp switch. Go to step 5.
No Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
5 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
  • Place the headlamp switch in the headlamps ON position.
  • Measure the voltage between the multifunction switch 0918-105 pin 8, circuit V/LB, harness side and ground.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Install a new multifunction switch. See MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation.
