Clutch Release Cylinder Removal/Installation

- Remove the transmission; see MANUAL TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
.NOTE:
- Inspect the clutch housing for traces of fluid. If fluid is visible, install a new clutch release cylinder.
- Remove clutch release cylinder.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the clutch release cylinder.
- Inspect the clutch release cylinder for the following:
- Worn or damages boot.
- Leaking fluid.
- Worn or damaged bearing.
- Inspect the clutch release bearing as follows:
- Rotate the outer race while applying pressure. If the bearing rotation is rough, install a new clutch release cylinder.
- Inspect for wear or damage.
- If wear is continuous (not segmented) and the wear appears to be deep in bearing face, install a new clutch release cylinder.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Position the clutch release cylinder and install the bolts.
- Install the transmission; see MANUAL TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
