Instrument Cluster Pinpoint Test 10: High Beam Indicator Is Never On

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PINPOINT TEST 10 - HIGH BEAM INDICATOR NEVER ON

PINPOINT TEST 10		HIGH BEAM INDICATOR IS NEVER ON
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK FOR CIRCUITS B AND B/W FOR AN OPEN Key OFF. Disconnect: Instrument Cluster 0922-102. Disconnect: Instrument Cluster 0922-101. Check the resistance between the instrument cluster 0922-102 pin 1 circuit B, harness side and ground and instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 3 circuit B/W, harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms on both circuits?	Yes	Go to step 2.
1		No	Repair the circuit in question. Test the system for normal operation.
2	CHECK FOR CORRECT HIGH BEAM OPERATION Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position. Set the multifunction switch to the high beam position. Do the high beams operate correctly?	Yes	Go to step 3.
2		No	See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - HEADLAMPS to continue diagnosis of the high beams.
3	CHECK FOR POWER TO THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position. Set the multifunction switch to the high beam position. Measure the voltage between the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 11, circuit GY/W, harness side and ground. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?	Yes	Go to step 5.
3		No	Go to step 4.
4	CHECK CIRCUIT G/W FOR AN OPEN Key OFF. Measure the resistance between the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 11, circuit GY/W, harness side and the SJB J-2280a pin 21, circuit GY/W, harness side. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?	Yes	Repair or Install a new SJB. Test The system for normal operation.
4		No	Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
5	CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION Key OFF. Disconnect all instrument cluster connectors. Check for: corrosion pushed-out pins Connect all instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	Install a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the instrument cluster self-test.
5		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
