Yes | Repair Y/LG wire. Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Reconnect SJB connector J-2280a. Go to step 2. | ||
| 2 | CHECK SJB FOR INTERNAL FAULTS

Yes | Replace the SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Go to step 3. | ||
| 3 | CHECK CIRCUIT DL FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Repair DL wire. Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Go to step 4. | ||
| 4 | CHECK AIR BAG SLIDING CONTACT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
|
Yes | Install a new air bag sliding contact. See AIR BAG SLIDING CONTACT (CLOCKSPRING) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation. |
| No | Replace the horn switch. See HORN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation. | ||
