Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST 2 - TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE

PINPOINT TEST 2 ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE STOPLAMPS
  • Press and release the brake pedal while observing the rear lamps.
  • Do the stoplamps operate correctly? 
Yes Go to step 2.
No REFER to Stoplamps, See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - STOPLAMP .
2 CHECK THE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
  • Key OFF.
  • Place the headlamp switch to the parking lamps ON position and observe the inoperative turn lamp.
  • Does the parking lamp illuminate? 
Yes Go to step 3.
No Repair circuit B. Test the system for normal operation.
3 CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
Yes For LH front parking/turn lamp, Repair circuit LG/W. Test the system for normal operation. For RH front parking/turn lamp, Repair circuit W/LB. Test the system for normal operation.
No Replace the multifunction switch. See MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
