Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp Is Always On

PINPOINT TEST 3 - TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS ALWAYS ON

PINPOINT TEST 3 ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS ALWAYS ON
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE STOPLAMPS
  • Press and release the brake pedal while observing the rear lamps.
  • Do the stoplamps operate correctly? 
 Yes Go to step 2.
No REFER to SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - STOPLAMP .
2 CHECK CIRCUITS W/LB (RH) AND LG/W (LH) FOR SHORTS TO POWER
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Multifunction Switch 0918-104.
  • Key ON.
  • Does the turn/hazard lamp continue to illuminate? 
 Yes Install a new multifunction switch. See MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
No For the LH front parking/turn lamp, Repair circuit LG/W. Test the system for normal operation. For the RH front parking/turn lamp, Repair circuit W/LB. Test the system for normal operation.
