PINPOINT TEST 3		HEADLAMP ON REMINDER CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	CHECK THE IGNITION STATES - MONITOR THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IGNITION SWITCH PIDs Key OFF. Monitor the instrument cluster key-in-ignition PID while inserting ignition key. Do the PID values agree with the key-in ignition switch state?	Yes	Go to step 2.
1		No	Go toKEY-IN-IGNITION CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY .
2	VERIFY THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATE Key ON. Open the driver door. Do the interior lamps illuminate correctly?	Yes	Go to step 3.
2		No	See INTERIOR LIGHTING DIAGNOSIS to further diagnose the interior lighting.
3	VERIFY THE HEADLAMPS AND PARKING/TURN LAMPS OPERATE CORRECTLY Place the headlamp switch in the PARK and ON positions. Do the parking/turn lamps and headlamps operate correctly?	Yes	Go to step 4.
3		No	See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMPS to further diagnose the parking/turn lamps.
4	CHECK THE CIRCUIT B/P FOR AN OPEN Key OFF. Disconnect instrument cluster 0922-101. Measure the voltage between the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 4, circuit B/P, harness side and ground, with the headlamp switch in the ON position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?	Yes	Go to step 5.
4		No	Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
5	CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors. Check for: corrosion pushed-out pins Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	Install a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
5		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
