PINPOINT TEST 2 - PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE LAMPS INOPERATIVE (ONE OR MORE)

PINPOINT TEST 2		PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE (ONE OR MORE)
STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	DETERMINE THE CONDITION Place the headlamp switch to the parking lamps ON position. Are all the front or all the rear lamps inoperative?	Yes	Go to step 3.
1		No	Go to step 2.
2	CHECK FOR POWER TO THE INOPERATIVE LAMP Key OFF. Disconnect: Inoperative Lamp Connector(s). Place the headlamp switch in the ON position. Measure the voltage between the inoperative lamp connector harness side and ground using the table below. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?	Yes	Repair the ground circuit to inoperative lamp(s). Test the system for normal operation.
2		No	Repair the power circuit(s) in question. Test the system for normal operation.
3	CHECK THE LIGHTING CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN Disconnect: SJB J-2280c. Measure the resistance between the SJB J-2280c pin 3 (rear parking lamps), circuit B/P, harness side and ground; or between the SJB J-2280a pin 8 (front parking lamps), circuit BR, harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?	Yes	Go to step 4.
3		No	Repair the circuit in question. Test the system for normal operation.
4	CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION Key OFF. Disconnect all SJB connectors. Check for: corrosion pushed-out pins Connect all SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present?	Yes	Install a new SJB. Test the system for normal operation.
4		No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
