Removal & Installation (Tribute 2.0L)

  1. Remove the bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield. See Fig 1.
  2. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) harness connector. See Fig 2.
  3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the HO2S with penetrating and lock lubricant to aid in removal.
  4. Using the Special Tool (303-476), remove the HO2S. See Fig 3.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply a light coat of high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S to aid in installation. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
