Removal & Installation (626 2.5L)

Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is located behind camshaft pulley. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect CMP sensor harness connector. Remove timing belt cover and timing belt. Remove rear valve cover. Hold cast hexagonal part intake camshaft with an adjustable end wrench or equivalent and loosen camshaft pulley bolt. See Fig 1. Remove bolt and camshaft pulley. Remove CMP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
