Belt Tension

NOTE:
Belt tension can be inspected in place of belt deflection. Inspect the drive belt tension when the engine is cold, or at least 30 minutes after the engine has been stopped.
Using Belt Tension Gauge (49 9200 020A), or equivalent, inspect the belt tension between any two pulleys. See Fig 1 . If tension is not within specification, adjust as necessary. See BELT DEFLECTION/TENSION SPECIFICATIONS table.
