Rear Air Dam Skirt Installation

NOTE:
  • The rear air dam skirt is installed using an adhesive agent so it can not be removed after installation. It can only be replaced when the rear bumper is also replaced.
  1. Remove dirt and grease from the surface of the rear air dam skirt and rear bumper where the adhesive will be applied.
  2. Apply primer to the adhesive surface of the rear air dam skirt.
  3. Apply the adhesive included with the rear air dam skirt in the area between the very edge of the rear air dam skirt and the foam tape.
    CAUTION:
    • The installation must be fully completed within 15 minutes after application and requires 24 hours to become completely hardened.
    NOTE:
    • The adhesive included with the skirt begins to harden 15 minutes after application and requires 24 hours to become completely hardened.

  4. Install the rear air dam skirt to the rear bumper.
  5. Install the screws.
  6. Install the bolts.
    NOTE:
    • The bolts are the same as used for installing the rear bumper. Remove the bolts when installing the bumper. When installing the rear air dam skirt with the rear bumper already installed, remove the bolts from the bumper and them to install the rear air dam skirt.
  7. Install the fasteners.
  8. Allow the adhesive to completely harden.

    Hardening time: 24 hours or more
