Balance Spring Removal Note

NOTE:

The balance springs are under high tension.

Push the tab of the clip to open the cover using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.
Remove the balance springs from the clip.

Remove the balance spring from the trunk lid hinge using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.
