Removal & Installation (Tribute 2.0L)

CAUTION: Do not work on the aluminum engine components until the engine is cold or damage may occur.
NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in the illustration.
  1. Remove the catalytic converter.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Remove the dipstick and the dipstick tube bracket bolt. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the 6 bolts and 3 nuts and remove the exhaust manifold. See Fig 2.
  5. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness connector (1). See Fig 3.
  6. Remove the bolt (2). See Fig 3.
  7. Remove the CKP sensor (3). See Fig 3.
  8. To install, reverse removal procedure. See Fig 4. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
