EVAP System Repair Verification Drive Mode (4 Cylinder W/O Turbo & V6)
NOTE:
If "EVAP System Repair Verification Drive Mode" cannot be performed (it is impossible to drive the vehicle under this drive mode condition), perform EVAP system test procedure as an alternative.
- Verify that all of the following PIDs are within the following specifications. All PIDs must be within specifications before engine is started to initiate the EVAP system test.
- BARO:more than 72.2 kPa {542 mmHg, 21.3 inHg}
- IAT:5-40 °C {41-104 °F} 4 Cylinder:5-35 °C {41-95 °F} V6
- FTL:15-85%
- B+:more than 10.9 V
- Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent.
- Start the engine and idle it formore than 10 s , then turn ignition switch off.
- Leave vehicle for5 hours or more .
- Start the engine and idle formore than 15 min .
- Drive the vehicle at an engine speed of65-80 km/h {40-50 mph} formore than 5 min .
- Stop the vehicle and turn ignition switch off.
- Leave vehicle as it is for10 min or more .
- Start the engine.
- Access the ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS to verify the OBD monitoring status.
- If completed, the OBD monitoring status items change from non-completed to completed.
- If not completed, turn the ignition switch off then go back to Step 1.
- Access the DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS to verify the monitor results.
- If detected values are not within specification, repair has not completed.
- Verify no DTCs are available.
