OBD-II Drive Cycle
NOTE:
- TheIAT PID must be between 50-100°F (10-38°C) during the OBD-II drive cycle to enter into all OBD-II monitors.
- TheFLI PID must be between 15% and 85% at all times.
- Drive in stop-and-go traffic with at lease 5 idle periods of more than 30 seconds each.NOTE: If the NGS tester sends out a three-pulse beep at any time, the OBD-II drive cycle has completed.
- Bring the vehicle to a stop and access the ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS TESTS menu to check completion status.
- If completed, completion status changes from NO to YES.
- If the EGR, HO2S, EVAP and/or catalyst efficiency monitors have not completed, perform the corresponding repair verification drive cycle.
- Verify no DTCs are available.
