Catalyst Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle

NOTE: IAT  PID must be above 0°F (-18°C) to initiate the Catalyst monitor.
  1. Clear all DTCs with the NGS tester. P1000 will remain. Leave the key in the ON position and start the engine.
  2. Access the ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS TESTS menu and monitor completion status of Catalyst monitor during the following procedure.
  3. Drive in stop-and-go traffic for 20 minutes, include six different constant speeds between 25 to 45 mph (40 and 72 km/h).
  4. Drive on highway at any speed for an additional 5 minutes or more until the completion status changes from NO to YES.
    • If completed, verify no DTCs are available with exception of P1000.
    • If not completed within 15 minutes, turn the key to OFF then repeat from step 3 at least one more time.
